Hmm..this is always the hard part.

As you have probably gathered, my name is Dave Ford. Yes, that's me in the photo, and ironically, my wife, Vicky took this shot. She has a knack with people photos. She also models for me on occasion and you can find images of her in the 'People' gallery.

Ever since the age of five, when I first drew images of Snoopy and aeroplanes, I knew my passion lay with the visual arts. I have dabbled in painting, drawing, sculpture, cartoons, graphic arts, 3D computer graphics and of course photography, but have always ended up doing more practical things as my profession. I have been a computer technician, TV technician, house painter, and renovator. At one point, I was a wedding photographer for a few years, but that was a long time ago. :)

Lately, I have had the chance to spend a lot of time in an area of the world that has proven to continually amaze me with its beauty. North Wales has left me spellbound with its ancient castles, mountains, lakes, islands and the sea. The continually changing weather provides a vast array of stunning skies and lighting conditions, allowing one to return time and time again to the same places and yet find a different vista almost every time.

However, as you can see in my Galleries, landscapes are not the only type of photography that I pursue. I am lucky enough to have travelled to many places, and to have met many interesting people, which has added immensely to my enjoyment of photography.

I fully intend to keep on expanding my horizons, both literally and figuratively. So, on that note, please check back often, as I plan on adding more photos as time permits. I hope you enjoy your look around my world.
